Bijur Delimon L18P Manual Pump 6-18 cc Stroke

Aftermarket manual pump replacing the Bijur Delimon L18P for oil SLR systems. 1 L reservoir, 6-18 cc per stroke, 65 psi, 40 micron inlet, 70 meter units.

What the L18P Is

The Bijur Delimon L18P is a manual one-shot spring-return piston pump for oil-based single-line resistance lubrication systems. It is built for SLR networks that use Type F meter units to divide one pump discharge into measured doses at each bearing point. The pump is not for grease.

Bijur and Delimon are trademarks of their respective owners.

This is an aftermarket pump, not manufactured, sponsored, or endorsed by Bijur Delimon.

Bijur Delimon part numbers are for cross-reference identification only.

Each full lever cycle raises the piston and compresses the return spring. Releasing the lever lets the spring push the piston down and discharge one metered shot of oil into the connected SLR line. The operator controls the shot by hand, so the pump needs no air supply, motor, or electrical connection.

The unit holds 1 liter of oil in a plastic reservoir. The discharge volume is adjustable from 6 to 18 cc per stroke, with the factory setting at 18 cc. The maximum discharge pressure is 65 psi, about 4 bar.

How the Spring-Return Stroke Works

Pressing the lever down raises the piston inside the pump body. That upward movement compresses the spring and draws oil from the reservoir into the pump chamber. The lever stroke is the charging part of the cycle.

Releasing the lever lets the compressed spring return the piston downward. The spring force pushes the oil out of the pump chamber and into the SLR network. One full lever cycle, down and release, equals one discharge.

Because the L18P has no built-in stroke counter, operators count strokes or follow a written lubrication schedule. A common practice is to mark the number of strokes on a log sheet near the pump. If the schedule calls for one shot per lubrication point per day, the operator pulls and releases the lever once for each scheduled cycle.

Setting the 6-18 cc Output

The discharge volume adjusts from 6 to 18 cc per stroke. The factory setting is 18 cc. To match the pump output to the system, add the rated output of all Type F meter units connected to the line. The total pump shot should cover the sum of the meter-unit outputs.

Discharge pressure decreases when the discharge volume setting is reduced. Pressure also decreases when more meter units are connected to the same line. A lower volume setting with many meter units may not build enough pressure to cycle every meter unit correctly.

After changing the volume setting, run a few strokes and check the farthest lubrication points. If those points stay dry, increase the volume setting or reduce the number of meter units on the line. Recheck the system after any adjustment.

Right-Hand, Left-Hand, and Tank Choices

The D3033C configuration has a right-hand handle and a 1 liter plastic reservoir. The D3217C configuration has a left-hand handle and a 1 liter plastic reservoir. Choose the handle side that gives the operator clear access to the lever near the machine frame or panel.

Distributor listings also show metal-tank versions 20858 for right-hand and 20911 for left-hand. Confirm these numbers before ordering, because the metal-tank configurations are not always listed with the same outlet details as the plastic-reservoir units.

If the pump mounts in a tight space, check the lever swing before selecting right-hand or left-hand. The handle side changes the direction the operator pulls the lever, not the pump function.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the L18P pump grease?

No, the L18P is for oil-based single-line resistance systems only. Grease will not flow correctly through this pump or its meter units.

How much oil does one stroke deliver?

One full lever cycle delivers 6 to 18 cc depending on the setting. The factory setting is 18 cc per stroke.

What is the maximum discharge pressure?

The maximum discharge pressure is 65 psi, about 4 bar. Pressure drops when volume is reduced or more meter units are added.

How many meter units can the L18P feed?

The system limit is 70 Type F meter units. Do not exceed 70 meter units on one pump line.

What oil viscosity range works with this pump?

The pump handles oil from 150 to 8000 SSU at operating temperature. Check your oil viscosity before connecting the pump.

Does the L18P have a stroke counter?

No built-in stroke counter is publicly documented for this pump. Operators count strokes or follow a written lubrication schedule.

What is the inlet filter size?

The inlet filter is 40 micron. Inspect and clean or replace the filter periodically to keep dirt out.

Which outlet thread does the D3217C use?

The D3217C configuration lists a 5/16-24 outlet thread. Confirm the thread on your existing line before ordering.

What is the difference between D3033C and D3217C?

D3033C has a right-hand handle and a 1 liter plastic reservoir. D3217C has a left-hand handle and a 1 liter plastic reservoir.
