Overview
The DB-N electric grease pump is a multi-point pump station for centralized lubrication in heavy industry, delivering grease or oil at a nominal working pressure of 31.5 MPa (315 bar / 4,568 PSI) from a 30 L welded steel reservoir to 1-14 outlets directly, or up to about 50 points through progressive divider blocks.
Four flow variants – DB-N25, DB-N45, DB-N50, DB-N90 – share the same pressure rating, reservoir, and 0.37 kW three-phase motor. A timer-controlled intermittent cycle doses each point on schedule. For other pump types, see the grease pump hub.

Lubricant Compatibility
Grease: NLGI Grade 2 and softer (cone penetration at least 265 at 25°C under a 150 g load), including lithium complex, calcium sulfonate, polyurea, and synthetic formulations. NLGI Grade 3 or harder is outside the declared range; consult technical support first.
Oil: 68 cSt and higher (minimum N68): mineral, synthetic, hydraulic, and gear oils. When switching between grease and oil, clean the reservoir, filter, and lines thoroughly. For oil-dedicated stations, see the lubrication oil pump range.
How It Works
A 0.37 kW three-phase motor drives the pump through four repeating phases:
- Suction: lubricant is drawn from the 30 L reservoir through the inlet filter.
- Pressurization: lubricant is pressurized up to the 31.5 MPa working rating.
- Distribution: grease or oil flows through the outlet manifold to distribution lines or progressive divider blocks.
- Relief and reset: at pump stop, the integrated relief valve vents residual pressure so progressive distributors reset for the next cycle.
A timer control runs the pump intermittently, preventing over-lubrication. Protection hardware: relief valve, motor overload protection, emergency stop.
Model Selection Guide
Select by total lubrication points and grease volume per cycle:
- 1-15 points (light machinery, machine tools): DB-N25.
- 15-35 points (manufacturing lines, processing equipment): DB-N45 or DB-N50.
- 35-50 points (steel mills, mining crushers, large conveyors): DB-N90.
On long pipe runs, verify that line resistance stays within the 31.5 MPa rating; cold grease raises losses. For help sizing, send us your point list for a quote.
Installation and Use
Install in an accessible location within -25°C to +80°C ambient, with minimal dust, proper grounding, and a 380V three-phase supply; 220V, 415V, and 60Hz variants on request.
Filling rules: inject grease through the designated filling port with a grease gun or filler pump; opening the reservoir cover to fill by hand is prohibited, since it lets contamination straight in. Never run the pump empty; dry running damages the mechanism and overheats the motor.
Applications
- Metallurgy: rolling mills, cranes, conveyors, furnace equipment
- Mining: crusher bearings, conveyor drives, handling equipment
- Chemical processing: reactor bearings, compressors, agitators
- Port operations: container cranes, ship loaders, bulk handling
- Construction: excavator pivots, crushers, mobile machinery
Maintenance
Maintain on an inspection basis, not a fixed calendar: monitor reservoir level, check for leaks, verify cycle timing, inspect connections, and confirm the relief valve vents at cycle end. Keep the inlet filter clean; a clogged filter starves suction. Keep spare seals, check valves, and filter elements on hand.
FAQ
What is the DB-N electric grease pump?
An electric multi-point pump for centralized lubrication, delivering grease or oil at up to 31.5 MPa to 1-14 outlets from a 30 L reservoir.
What is the difference between DB-N25, DB-N45, DB-N50, and DB-N90?
They share the 31.5 MPa rating, 30 L reservoir, and 0.37 kW motor, differing in maximum flow: 0-25, 0-45, 0-50, and 0-90 ml/min (37 or 39 kg). Select by point count and volume per cycle.
What lubricants are compatible with the DB-N pump?
NLGI Grade 2 and softer greases (cone penetration at least 265 at 25°C, 150 g load), and oils of 68 cSt and higher (minimum N68). Do not use NLGI Grade 3 or harder without consulting technical support.
How many lubrication points can one DB-N pump serve?
The pump body has 1-14 direct outlets; with progressive divider blocks, the total expands to approximately 50 points.
What electrical supply does the DB-N pump require?
Standard supply is 380V / 50Hz three-phase with proper grounding, drawing approximately 1.2-1.5 A. Alternatives (220V, 415V, 60Hz) on request; confirm when ordering.
Can one DB-N pump handle both grease and oil?
Yes. The pump is dual-media: NLGI Grade 2 and softer grease, or 68 cSt minimum oil. When switching media, clean the reservoir, filter, and lines.
How is the system protected against overpressure?
An integrated relief valve vents residual pressure at cycle end; the motor has overload protection and emergency stop capability.
How do I select the right DB-N model?
Count points and grease volume per cycle: DB-N25 for 1-15 points, DB-N45 or DB-N50 for 15-35, DB-N90 for 35-50. On long runs, verify the pressure overcomes line resistance.
What operating mistakes should I avoid?
Never run the pump empty; dry running damages the mechanism and overheats the motor. Fill only through the designated filling port; never open the cover to hand-fill.
Who makes the DB-N pump and how do I get support?
It is supplied by IsoHiTech Lubrication Systems, founded in 2023, engineering since 2006. Technical support covers selection, installation, and troubleshooting; contact our engineers for a quote or email inquiry@isohitech.com.
