What the DRB-L Does
The DRB-L is a U-type electric grease pump built for dual-line (two-line) centralized lubrication on machinery with many lubrication points spread across a wide area. A motor-driven pump head feeds two main lines alternately through a reversing valve, so each half of the system receives grease in turn. Z models pump grease; Y models pump oil. The pump suits cement plants, power generation, port machinery, automotive assembly lines, textile plants and marine deck equipment. It is one of several electric grease pump models in the range, and shares its control logic with the DRB-J electric grease pump.

Models and Dimensions
Three standard builds cover most dual-line installations. Dimensions are for the pump unit with its horizontal tank; allow clearance for filling and for the reversing valve.

How the U-Type Pump Head Works
The U-type head carries two piston-and-sleeve pairs driven by a single eccentric shaft. As the shaft turns, one pair draws grease from the tank while the other delivers it to the outlet, so flow stays continuous rather than pulsing once per revolution. On grease models a spiral press plate and scraper follow the grease down and keep the suction port fed as the tank empties; oil models omit these parts. The model suffix tells you the duty: Z for grease, Y for oil, and H for the horizontal tank layout.
Dual-Line Operation
The pump pressurizes line A first. When end-of-line pressure reaches the preset band of 14-20 MPa, the reversing valve shifts and line B is pressurized next; the cycle then repeats. An MC-I controller or the plant PLC runs the schedule and raises an alarm if pressure is not reached within the set time. As a guide, the 60 ml/min model suits roughly 10-50 points, the 195 ml/min model 50-150 points, and the 585 ml/min model 150+ points. For single-line circuits, compare the DRB-P electric grease pump.
Siting and Upkeep
Set the pump on a level base close to the machine it serves, with room to open the tank and reach the reversing valve. Keep the 150 micron inlet strainer in place and clean it monthly. Fill through a clean funnel or transfer pump, and check the tank level weekly. Verify reversing valve action during commissioning, watching both lines shift in turn. If the unit will sit outdoors or in a washdown area, confirm the enclosure arrangement needed when ordering. Frequently Asked Questions
What is a DRB-L pump used for?
It handles dual-line centralized grease lubrication of machines with many spread-out points.
What does dual-line mean?
Two main lines are pressurized alternately by a reversing valve, each feeding half the points.
Which grease can it pump?
NLGI 000 to 2 with penetration of at least 220.
Can it pump oil instead?
Yes, Y-suffix models handle oil of viscosity grade 68 and above.
How many points can it serve?
Roughly 10-50, 50-150 or 150+ depending on model size.
What flow and tank sizes exist?
60, 195 or 585 ml/min with 20, 35 or 90 liter tanks.
What power supply does it need?
380V AC three-phase; 220V versions on request.
How does the system stop if a line breaks?
Pressure fails to reach preset; the controller alarms and stops.
What routine care does it need?
Monthly strainer cleaning, weekly level checks, verify valve action.
