What does dual voltage 12/24V mean?

What kills battery grease guns early?
Cold grease and empty pumping. NLGI 2 grease at low temperature makes the motor work at stall; running the gun “to be sure” after the cartridge empties hammers the piston. Warm the pail, watch the level window, and the brushless platform outlasts the cheaper ones.
Can I get one pump to replace an obsolete OEM unit?
