Overview
The Bijur Delimon VERSA III 2L is an electrically operated gear pump for positive displacement injector (PDI) centralized oil lubrication. A gear pump, 2 L translucent ABS reservoir, programmable double timer, low-level switch, and pressure switch are combined in one compact station for machine tool and industrial circuits. IsoHiTech supplies aftermarket-compatible components. Brand names are used for compatibility reference only. IsoHiTech is not an authorized OEM dealer.
The family also offers a 4 L reservoir: the 2 L version here has a double timer with independent on-time and off-time control, the 4 L an optional electronic controller module.
How It Works
On start – from the timer or an external signal – the gear pump builds pressure in the distribution line. Pressure rises to the value set by the PDI injectors; each injector fires, ejects a fixed metered dose of oil to its point, and line pressure is then released, so every point gets a consistent dose regardless of line length. The safety valve limits pressure to 16 bar.

Integrated Monitoring
The low-level switch (230V max, 40VA) signals low oil and can drive a warning lamp, PLC input, or machine stop. The pressure switch (250V max, 5A) confirms operating pressure was reached each cycle; if not – blocked line, empty reservoir, or failed injector – it signals a fault. Both outputs route through the M12x1 connector. The level switch does not replace visual checks.
Typical Applications
Built for PDI injector-based centralized oil lubrication, not grease systems; with appropriate configuration it also supports SLR and PRG systems:
- CNC machining centres and lathes – slideway, ballscrew, and spindle bearing oil circuits
- Production line machinery – presses and assembly equipment needing timed cycles
- Conveyor and packaging machinery – chain drives, cam bearings, and guide rails
- Textile and printing machinery – multi-point oil lubrication on high-speed machines
VERSA III 2L vs 4L
| Feature | VERSA III 2L (this model) | VERSA III 4L |
|---|---|---|
| Reservoir capacity | 2 L | 4 L |
| Control | Double timer, on-time and off-time independent | Optional electronic controller module |
| Refill interval | Shorter; suits lower daily oil consumption | Longer; suits higher point counts or longer hours |
| Best for | Moderate, timer-based lubrication demand | Higher consumption or full cycle and alarm management |

Installation and Maintenance
- Mount where the fill port is reachable and the reservoir visible for level checks.
- Set the motor to the supply voltage (110V or 220V AC) before energising; wrong voltage damages it.
- Verify oil viscosity at the lowest ambient temperature – oil too thick at cold start stops injectors cycling.
- Prime the line and run manual cycles until oil reaches every injector before start-up.
- Use only clean mineral oil in the rated band; never oil with solid additives such as graphite or MoS2.
- Inspect the 25 micron inlet filter at every refill; after repairs, purge air from the line.
- The timer suits intermittent duty; do not assume continuous-run capability – confirm at order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a genuine Bijur Delimon unit?
No – an aftermarket-compatible equivalent; the brand name is for fitment reference only. Confirm nameplate data and configuration before ordering.
What type of lubrication system is it designed for?
PDI (Positive Displacement Injector) centralized oil lubrication; with the right configuration it also supports SLR and PRG oil systems. Not suitable for grease of any NLGI grade.
What is the difference between the 2L and 4L versions?
Capacity and control: the 2L has a double timer for interval control; the 4L accepts an electronic controller module with alarms.
Can it be connected to a PLC?
Yes. Wire the low-level (230V max, 40VA) and pressure switch (250V max, 5A) outputs to PLC inputs, or trigger the pump from a PLC output via the M12x1 connector.
What oil should I use?
Clean mineral oil within 20-400 cSt (L version) or 300-1500 cSt (standard), verified at the lowest ambient temperature. Never use oils with solid additives such as graphite or MoS2.
How do I set the lubrication interval?
The double timer sets off-time between cycles (5-780 min in 1 min steps) and on-time per cycle; base off-time on the maker’s re-lubrication recommendation – on-time must let every injector fire.
What does the pressure switch do?
It confirms the system reached operating pressure each cycle. If pressure does not build – blocked line, empty reservoir, failed injector – the output signals a fault to an alarm or PLC.
What happens if the oil level drops below minimum?
It can trigger a lamp, buzzer, PLC input, or machine stop; the translucent reservoir also allows visual checks. Do not rely on the switch alone in critical applications.
The pump runs but pressure does not build – why?
Check in order: oil level, air in the line, blocked or kinked tubing, stuck injectors, pressure switch set point. Also confirm oil viscosity at the current temperature.
How do I choose between the L version and the standard range?
The L version (20-400 cSt) suits light machine and spindle oils; the standard range (300-1500 cSt) suits heavier gear oils. Share your oil grade and temperatures and we will confirm.
