BEKA MAX PE-170 Pump Element

Aftermarket PE-170 pump element for BEKA MAX EP-1 systems: 170 mm3 per stroke fixed, 350 bar, M20 x 1.5 thread, 6 or 8 mm line, -35 to +70 C, no nipple.

Aftermarket PE-170 Pump Element for BEKA MAX Systems

This page describes an aftermarket fixed-output pump element that cross-references the BEKA MAX PE-170. BEKA MAX is a trademark of its respective owner. This is an aftermarket replacement element, not manufactured, sponsored, or endorsed by BEKA MAX. PE-170 designations are for cross-reference identification only.

The element delivers a fixed output of 170 mm3 per stroke. It is the largest output element in the range for EP-1 and HP-1 pump bodies. This version is without a grease nipple and connects at the pump reservoir side. The element screws directly into the pump body and uses the existing drive eccentric.

How the Element Works

The piston element is driven by the pump eccentric. It has a fixed displacement, so output is controlled by pump run frequency, not by the element itself. Up to 3 elements can be fitted per EP-1 pump. Each element feeds one lubrication point independently.

Grease and Oil Compatibility

This element works with greases up to NLGI 2. Mineral oils of 40 cSt or higher are suitable. It does not work with solid lubricants such as graphite or molybdenum additives. Greases above NLGI 2 and oils thinner than 40 cSt should be avoided. Use only clean lubricants to protect the piston and bore.

Installation

Remove the old element from the pump body. Clean the M20 x 1.5 thread hole, then hand-start the new element to avoid cross-threading. Wrench-tighten the element and connect the 6 or 8 mm line. Test the system at low pressure before normal operation.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

Confirm the variant suffix before ordering. PE-170 F versions are spring-return variants, and some variants include a grease nipple or a pressure-limiting valve. Confirm your pump model, whether EP-1, HP-1, or a newer generation, and your line size of 6 or 8 mm. Also check whether your system needs the relief-valve version. See the BEKA pump element reference for related part numbers and progressive lubrication systems for circuit details. If you are unsure about the exact variant, contact the team with your pump type and element position. This is also a good time to inspect the grease pump if the element will be used in a mobile or compact lubrication setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this element fixed or adjustable output?

This element has a fixed output of 170 mm3 per stroke. It cannot be adjusted by the user.

Which pumps does this element fit?

It fits BEKA MAX EP-1 and HP-1 pump bodies. Confirm your generation before ordering.

Should I choose a 6 or 8 mm line connection?

Choose the size that matches your existing lubrication line. Both 6 and 8 mm OD tube versions are common.

What does without grease nipple mean?

It refers to the filling arrangement only, not the output volume. This version connects at the pump reservoir side.

What does the pressure rating mean exactly?

The pump can reach 350 bar, while this element relieves at 280 bar. The relief valve limits element outlet pressure.

How is PE-170 F different from this version?

PE-170 F is a spring-return variant with the same 170 mm3 output. This version is not spring-return.

Will it replace my existing element directly?

Confirm your pump model and element variant before ordering. Direct replacement is likely for EP-1 or HP-1 bodies.

Does the element include seals or a valve?

Confirm before ordering if seals or a valve are included. Kits vary by supplied configuration.

Is NLGI 2 grease okay to use?

Yes, NLGI 2 grease is suitable for this element. Avoid thicker greases and solid lubricant additives.

Who builds this element, and how do I get a quotation?
