DDB Multi-Point Grease Pump – 10/18/36 Outlet Electric Lubrication Pump

DDB multi-point electric grease pump with 10, 18, or 36 outlets, one tube per point, 0 – 0.2 ml per stroke, rated 10 MPa for low-frequency lubrication.

The DDB series is a multi-point electric grease pump for single-machine centralized lubrication. Each unit feeds 10, 18, or 36 outlets; every outlet drives one tube to one point with its own dose. It is built for intermittent, low-frequency lubrication on crushers, presses, cranes, and printing machines. If your project is a large dual-line network, see the ZPU 08/14/24 grease pump; for 40 MPa pump stations, see the DRB-P electric grease pump.

How the DDB Pump Works

A gearmotor-driven plunger block drives the DDB pump. Each outlet is an independent passage with adjustable displacement of 0 – 0.2 ml per outlet per stroke; the pump cycles at 13 strokes per minute. Every outlet serves one tube and one point; grease cannot migrate between points. If a line blocks, pressure protection isolates it while the others keep feeding.

Model Range and Power Supply

Three models cover 10, 18, or 36 points. All models are rated 10 MPa (100 bar), run on 380V three-phase at 1,380 rpm, and draw approx 1.2 A, 1.5 A, or 1.8 A; other voltages can be customized. Run it from a timer or PLC output that triggers cycles on schedule.

Grease Compatibility

The pump handles NLGI #0, #1, and #2 greases. Reference values: cone penetration 265 or higher (25°C, 150 g, 1/10 mm); base oil viscosity 32 – 460 cSt at 40°C. Cold weather stiffens grease; confirm the grade for low-temperature installations.

Line Length and Expanding the Point Count

Distribution lines can run up to 20 m per point with sensible tube diameter. Treat it as an application guide: practical distance depends on tube size, grease consistency, temperature, and elbows. Beyond 36 points, external progressive divider blocks or single-line distributors extend the count; keep total pressure within 10 MPa and confirm the layout when ordering.

DDB or Progressive System?

The DDB gives each point its own outlet, dose, and tube, so faults stay isolated; it fits single machines with scattered points and low lubrication frequency. A progressive system feeds divider valves in sequence: points meter as a group, tubing stays short, and a cycle switch confirms movement. For the wider picture, read what a central lubrication system is.

Honest Limitations

Three boundaries are worth stating plainly.

  • Pressure ceiling: it is a 10 MPa (100 bar) machine, not a source for long dual-line networks; those belong to the ZPU class.
  • Duty pattern: it is built for intermittent, low-frequency cycles; confirm continuous-feeding needs before ordering.
  • Cold starts: NLGI 2 grease in cold conditions raises suction resistance; confirm grade and starting behavior.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the DDB pump the right choice for my machine?

It is an electric multi-line grease pump with 10, 18, or 36 outlets, each feeding one tube to one point, and it suits single machines with scattered points at low lubrication frequency. Large dual-line networks belong to the ZPU series; 40 MPa stations to the DRB-P series. For voltage selection, see the electric operated grease pump page; our grease pump overview compares the full range.

Is 0 – 0.2 ml a per-minute rate?

No. It is the adjustable displacement per outlet per stroke, not a per-minute rate. Point dose depends on the setting you select; see the model table for theoretical total flow.

DDB pump or progressive system?

Pick the DDB when each point needs its own dose and simple fault isolation; pick a progressive system when points group naturally, tubing must stay short, and a cycle switch confirms movement.

How do I choose a model?

Match the outlet count to your points, then compare tank, motor, weight, and footprint in the table. If unsure, ask us for a model recommendation.

Can I extend beyond 36 points?

Yes. External progressive divider blocks or single-line distributors extend the count; keep total system pressure within 10 MPa and confirm the layout when ordering.

Does 20 m apply in every installation?

No. It is a guide for reasonable tube diameter; actual distance depends on tube size, grease consistency, temperature, and elbows. Confirm long runs when ordering.

Does one blocked point stop the pump?

No. Pressure protection isolates the blocked outlet while the others keep feeding. Find and clear the blocked line.

Which greases are compatible?

NLGI #0, #1, and #2 greases; cone penetration 265 or higher (25°C, 150 g, 1/10 mm); base oil viscosity 32 – 460 cSt at 40°C. In cold or on long lines, prefer softer grades and confirm when ordering.

What maintenance does the DDB need?

Daily, check oil level in the sight glass; weekly, check for leaks; monthly, clean the 0.2 mm inlet strainer; quarterly, replace the filter element and HL-20 gear oil per the pump documentation.
