The DRB-P is a fixed or mobile electric plunger grease pump station for centralized lubrication, rated at a nominal 40 MPa (400 bar / 5,800 PSI). It feeds single-line or dual-line networks on machinery in metallurgy, mining, chemical, power and heavy industry. This page covers design, operation and model choice. For general electric grease pump selection, see the electric grease pump page; for the concept, read what a central lubrication system is; for every pump type, the grease pump hub.
What Is the DRB-P Pump Station?
The DRB-P is an electric high-pressure grease pump station in two forms. The Z suffix marks the mobile build, adding a cart, high-pressure hose, grease gun and cable for service along a route; fixed builds stay in one place. Reservoirs run 310 mm (30L), 400 mm (60L) and 500 mm (100L) in diameter; a 30L station is 760 mm to the barrel top, 1080 mm overall.
How the DRB-P Works
A geared low-speed motor turns an eccentric shaft; a sliding fork converts that into reciprocating plunger travel to push grease toward the outlet. Inside, a spiral pressure plate and scraper rotate clockwise, softening the grease and feeding it under positive pressure into the suction port, so even stiff NLGI 3# keeps flowing. The outlet gauge shows delivery pressure, and the on-site-adjustable relief valve forms two layers of overload protection with motor overload protection.

All nine models share the 40 MPa nominal rating and 380V three-phase supply; weights run 56 – 125 kg by reservoir, motor and fixed or mobile Z configuration.
How to Choose a Model
Match the flow step, 120 / 235 / 365 ml/min, to the number of lubrication points and the total line length. Low-temperature plants pick DRB2-P120Z or DRB4-P120Z, rated down to -20°C. Sites that refill rarely pick the 100L reservoirs on DRB7-P235Z or DRB9-P365Z. High demand with a small reservoir points to DRB5-P235Z. Dual-line systems add the 24FJF-M two-position four-way directional valve.
Greases and Oils the DRB-P Handles
The station feeds greases from NLGI 0# to NLGI 3#, penetration 220 (0.1 mm) minimum at 25°C. Oil service works with lubricating oil at 68 cSt and above, supplied without the pressure plate. When changing grease type, flush the whole system so old grease does not contaminate the new fill.
Monitoring, Protection and Control
A float switch raises a low-level alarm before the reservoir empties, so the pump is refilled before it draws air. An optional control cabinet adds a timer, counter and fault indication for scheduled unattended runs.
Where the DRB-P Is Used
Typical duty is centralized lubrication on metallurgy, mining, chemical, power, building materials and heavy machinery, where points sit far apart and manual greasing means long rounds. It suits lines beyond 100 m, frequent grease schedules and mobile Z service.
Honest Limitations
40 MPa is a nominal maximum rating, not an assurance of continuous operation under every line configuration; set the relief valve for real line resistance. The station is built for indoor duty; outdoor or harsh environments need extra protection arranged on site. Dimensions for the 60L and 100L fixed builds are not listed here, so confirm them when ordering. An oil build has no pressure plate, so it should not simply be refilled with stiff grease. If your duty sits outside these bounds, tell us about your application and we will check the fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of pump is the DRB-P?
A fixed or mobile Z electric plunger grease pump station built to the JB/T 8810 Chinese standard.
Does it run on single-line or dual-line systems?
Both. Dual-line systems add the 24FJF-M two-position four-way directional valve.
What does the 40 MPa rating mean?
The nominal maximum rating, not a promise of continuous full-pressure operation in every configuration. The relief valve adjusts 0 – 40 MPa on site.
How do I choose among the nine models?
Match flow step to point count and line length, then reservoir: 100L suits long refill cycles. Cold plants pick DRB2-P120Z or DRB4-P120Z.
What is the difference between Z and fixed builds?
The Z build adds a cart, high-pressure hose, grease gun and cable for mobile service; fixed builds stay put.
Can the DRB-P pump oil instead of grease?
Yes, with oil at 68 cSt and above; oil builds ship without the pressure plate, so specify the fluid when ordering.
What happens if the reservoir runs low?
A float switch alarms before the grease runs out, so you refill before the pump draws air.
How do I adjust the pressure?
Clockwise raises, counterclockwise lowers; stay within 0 – 40 MPa, above system resistance, and check the outlet gauge.
Which grease should I use?
NLGI 0# to 3#, penetration 220 (0.1 mm) minimum at 25°C. Flush the system when changing grease type.
