YKQ End-of-Line Pressure Unit

YKQ pressure units confirm pressure in dry grease centralized lubrication systems and send a 220V AC signal to the control box at the preset trip point.

The YKQ end-of-line pressure unit is a monitoring element for dry grease centralized lubrication systems, not a pump and not a valve. When the pump starts, pressure builds in the main line; once it comes up to the preset value, the YKQ sends an electrical signal to the control box to confirm the cycle or raise an alarm.

If you need a pressure source, review a DRB-P electric grease pump station; to meter grease to lube points, review mono-progressive distribution blocks; for a remote mounting point, review a remote grease anchor block.

How the YKQ Signals a Completed Cycle

Once line pressure comes up to the preset value, a spring-loaded plunger displaces, closes an internal switch, and makes the 220V AC signal circuit. The signal commands the reversing valve in dual-line systems; a missing signal means a pump fault, empty reservoir, blocked line, or major leak.

Pick the YKQ when pump-side pressure suffices; pick the YKQ-SB when the reversing valve must be triggered by confirmed end-of-line pressure.

Setting the Trip Pressure

The adjustable pressure range is 10 – 40 MPa (100 – 400 bar). Set it on the spring preload: loosen the upper lock nut, turn the screw plug to add or release compression, then retighten it. The right value must let pressure build through the most distant metering device and match the valve change-over point.

Connecting to the Main Line

The pipeline connection is a 10 mm pipeline thread. Thread forms and sealing arrangements vary, so confirm the thread form and sealing arrangement when ordering.

Single-Line and Dual-Line Grease Systems

The YKQ series is specified for grease systems: dry grease centralized lubrication in single-line and dual-line layouts. In a dual-line system the YKQ-SB confirms pressure arrived at the furthest point before the valve changes lines; in a single-line system the YKQ by the pump confirms the pump is overcoming line resistance.

What Is Supplied

Each unit ships as one assembly: the spring-loaded plunger body, the lock nut and screw plug used for setting, and the gauge or gauges of the chosen model.

Limitations and Points to Confirm Before Ordering

  • Specified for grease systems; not intended for oil circulation.
  • It confirms and signals pressure but cannot generate or regulate it.
  • Trip pressure must come from your system working pressure and reversing needs; no universal preset exists.
  • Confirm the thread form and sealing arrangement when ordering and share the required trip pressure range.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know the YKQ is the component I need?

Need a pressure source? Review the DRB-P electric grease pump station. Need to meter grease to lube points? Review mono-progressive distribution blocks. Need a remote mounting base? Review the remote grease anchor block. If you only need pressure confirmation and a signal, stay here.

Is the YKQ a pressure switch or a pressure sensor?

It is a pressure confirmation switch, not a transmitter: a spring-loaded plunger closes an internal switch at the preset pressure to make the 220V AC signal circuit.

What does the electrical signal do?

In dual-line systems it tells the control box to command the reversing valve once the active line is up to pressure; in every system a missing signal lets the control box raise an alarm.

Where on the main line should the unit be installed?

The YKQ sits at the front of the main pipeline on the pump outlet side with one gauge; the YKQ-SB sits at the end, the furthest point from the pump, with two gauges.

How do I choose the preset trip pressure?

Choose it from your system: it must let pressure build through the most distant metering device and match the reversing valve change-over point. The adjustable range is 10 – 40 MPa (100 – 400 bar).

Can the YKQ be used on oil lubrication systems?

No. The YKQ series is specified for grease systems: dry grease centralized lubrication in single-line and dual-line layouts. Oil circuits need a different component.

How is the trip pressure adjusted on site?

Loosen the upper lock nut, turn the screw plug to change the spring compression, then retighten it. No special tools are needed; run a cycle and check the trip point against a gauge.

How can I confirm the unit is working?

Run a cycle and watch the gauge: the plunger should move at the preset pressure, and the control box should respond by switching the reversing valve or clearing the alarm.

What do the two gauges on the YKQ-SB show?

One gauge shows current system pressure, the other the preset trip pressure, so you can compare the two at a glance. If unsure which layout fits, send us your system details.

Who makes the YKQ pressure unit?

The YKQ series is built by IsoHiTech Lubrication Systems, founded in 2023, engineering since 2006. For selection support, write to inquiry@isohitech.com.
