What This Kit Repairs
Grease lines on heavy equipment fail in two ways: the line breaks mid-run, or the fitting at a port strips, cracks, or snaps off. This kit covers both scenarios. It packs more than 140 pieces for 6mm lubrication lines – straight, 45°, and 90° studs, compression fittings and unions, adapters, swivels, ferrules, and spare tubing – so a technician can splice a broken line or replace a damaged port fitting on the spot. For a single broken port rather than a mixed repair set, individual parts such as the button head grease fitting are sold separately.

Every compression joint in the kit uses the single-cone ferrule, the long-standing standard for grease lines. Unlike push-to-connect fittings, which grip with an internal collet and release with a ring, a ferrule joint is tightened onto the tube with a nut and holds under pressure and vibration. The two systems do not mix: a push-to-connect body does not accept these ferrules, and these compression fittings are not push-to-connect parts. The grease line tubing and fittings selection guide explains both families.
Two cautions before ordering. The 1/8″ ports in this kit are NPT, not BSP; the thread forms differ and do not interchange, so verify the thread family on your ports first. And the hose studs are sized for the included 8.6mm hose only – they do not fit other hose diameters.
Repair Workflow
- Isolate and depressurize: stop the pump and vent line pressure before touching any fitting.
- Cut square: remove the damaged section with a clean, square cut; the kit does not include a tube cutter, so bring one.
- Select the parts: pick straight, 45°, or 90° studs and compression fittings to match the routing; unions splice tube to tube.
- Assemble: slide on the compression screw and ferrule, seat the tube against the stop, and tighten until the ferrule bites.
- Verify: run the system at working pressure and inspect every new joint for seepage.
Never loosen a fitting on a pressurized line. High-pressure grease can inject through skin and cause severe injury; treat any injection injury as a medical emergency.
Compatibility and Service Conditions
The kit fits the common 6mm line ports found on Lincoln, Graco, Bijur Delimon, and similar centralized lubrication systems on construction, mining, and agricultural machinery. These are aftermarket components: not made by the original equipment manufacturer, but built to the same dimensions for the same repair jobs.
Components are rated from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C) and work with petroleum-based and biodegradable lubricants. Replacement tubing is also available on its own – see the 6mm nylon pipe page – and for rigid-line repairs the straight compression fittings family covers steel and stainless tube. Frequently Asked Questions
What does this kit repair?
Two situations: a grease line broken mid-run, which you splice with unions, studs, and spare tubing; and a damaged fitting at a port, which you replace from the stud, adapter, and compression fitting assortment. Both are covered by the same kit.
Which lubrication systems does it fit?
The common 6mm line ports used on Lincoln, Graco, Bijur Delimon, and similar centralized systems. These are aftermarket parts, dimensionally equivalent for repair use, not original manufacturer items.
Does the kit use compression or push-to-connect fittings?
Compression fittings with single-cone ferrules, the grease-line standard. They are not interchangeable with push-to-connect fittings, so do not mix the two families on one joint.
Does the kit cover BSP ports?
No. The 1/8″ threaded parts are NPT, and NPT does not interchange with BSP. Check the thread family on your ports against the coverage table before ordering.
Will the hose studs fit other hose sizes?
No. The studs are sized for the included 8.6mm high-pressure hose. Other hose diameters need their own matched studs and are outside this kit.
What temperatures and lubricants are covered?
Components are rated from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C) and suit petroleum-based and biodegradable lubricants used in centralized grease systems.
What else do I need for a repair?
A tube cutter for a clean, square cut – the kit does not include tools. Everything else for the joint itself (screws, ferrules, fittings) is in the box.
How do I splice a broken line?
Depressurize, cut out the damaged section square, join the ends with a 6mm x 6mm union or fresh tubing and compression fittings, then run the system at working pressure and inspect the joint.
Are these original manufacturer parts?
No. They are aftermarket components built to the same dimensions for the same repair jobs; brand names are referenced only to show which systems the ports fit.
