What the L-Type Pump Does
The L-type hand lubrication pump is a lever operated piston oil pump built for intermittent centralized lubrication on machinery. A few strokes of the lever push measured oil through tubing to bearings, slides, chains and other points that need regular attention. The pump mounts directly on the machine and needs no air line and no electrical connection, so it suits remote equipment, small workshops and anywhere a power supply is awkward. Output is fixed on some series and adjustable on others, and the lever can be arranged for left or right operation depending on the part number. It is an oil pump only; grease duties are handled by a different pump family.
Technical Specifications
The table below lists the main figures for each series in the L-type family. Confirm the part number that matches your lever side and output before ordering.
| Series | Output | Tank | Points | Filter | Oil Viscosity | Mass | Part Numbers |
| L13 | 13 mL fixed at 2.0 MPa | 1.0 L | up to 50 | 150 micron | 32-68 cSt | 1.53 kg | 25062-2, 25062-4, 25181-2, 25181-4, 25211-2, 25211-4 |
| L6H | 6 mL at 2.0 MPa | 0.6 L | – | – | – | 1.84 kg | 42390, 43410 |
| L8 | 2-7 mL adjustable at 0.5 MPa | 0.8 L | – | – | 32-1300 cSt | 1.2 kg | 103111, 103112 |
| L20 | – | 1.8 L | – | – | – | 1.8 kg | 103211, 103212 |
Choosing Between L13, L6H, L8 and L20
Pick the series by point count and by how much oil each point needs. The L13 is the choice when a single pump must feed many points, up to 50, with a fixed 13 mL dose per stroke. The L8 suits users who want an adjustable 2-7 mL dose to tune each circuit. The L6H and L20 cover smaller and mid-size machines where a compact tank is enough. If the machine is very small, a compact 0.5 L hand oil pump may fit better, and the Y-series hand oil pumps cover other mounting layouts.
Installation and First Use
- Mount the pump level on a rigid machine surface within reach of the operator.
- Fill the tank with clean, filtered oil of the viscosity listed for your series.
- Prime the pump by stroking the lever until oil appears at the outlet.
- On adjustable series, set the dose screw to the required output.
- Stroke the lever and check that oil reaches the farthest lubrication point.
Pump Only or a Full Oil System
The pump can run on its own or as the heart of a small centralized system. It pairs with fixed-output metering injectors, which divide the oil and deliver a set amount to each point, so one lever stroke serves several bearings at once. Tubing, fittings and injectors are selected to match the point count and the oil you use. Need grease instead of oil? A hand grease pump is the right starting point for grease duties, since this page covers oil only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the L-type pump for oil or grease?
It is an oil pump only. For grease duties, use the hand grease pump instead.
What is the difference between the L-series models?
They differ in output, tank size and point capacity. L13 gives the largest fixed output, L8 is adjustable.
Which series suits the most lubrication points?
The L13, which can feed up to 50 points from one pump.
Is the output adjustable on every model?
No. The L13 is fixed at 13 mL, while the L8 is adjustable from 2-7 mL.
What oil viscosity can it handle?
It depends on the series: 32-68 cSt for the L13 and 32-1300 cSt for the L8.
How fine is the outlet filtration?
The L13 uses a 150 micron filter. Other series follow their own listed specification.
Can the lever be mounted left or right?
Yes, on the L13 the lever side is chosen by the part number suffix.
Does it need compressed air or electricity?
No. It is a manual lever pump, so no air line or power connection is required.
Can it feed metering injectors?
Yes. It pairs with fixed-output metering injectors to divide oil to several points.
Can IsoHiTech confirm the right series before ordering?
Yes. IsoHiTech Lubrication Systems, founded in 2023, engineering since 2006, supplies the full L-series with left and right lever options. Send your point count and oil viscosity to inquiry@isohitech.com or via the quote page for confirmation.
