Bijur Delimon LS Line Strainer

Aftermarket Bijur Delimon LS line strainer: 5000 psi non-shock, 25 to 500 micron stainless screens, 1/4 and 3/8 NPT ports, model numbers and micron selection.

What the LS Strainer Does

The LS series is an in-line high-pressure strainer for oil and grease circuits inside a central lubrication system. It removes solid particles before they reach injectors, meter units, and pumps downstream.

This strainer is a non-shock rated device. The 5000 psi working pressure applies to steady flow without water-hammer spikes.

Official Specifications

The LS strainer is qualified for 5000 psi (345 bar) non-shock working pressure. Screen options are 25, 150, and 500 micron stainless steel, each user-selectable and replaceable.

  • Working pressure: 5000 psi (345 bar), non-shock
  • Screen options: 25, 150, and 500 micron stainless
  • Standard ports: 1/4 in NPT and 3/8 in NPT
  • One 1/4 in BSPP version: LS04103
  • Flow reference: 2 GPM for 1/4 in ports, 5 GPM for 3/8 in ports at 225 SSU at 100 F, 20 ft/s

Reading an LS Model Number

Model prefix LS02 denotes a 1/4 in NPT body, and LS03 denotes a 3/8 in NPT body. LS02103 and LS03103 mean 25 micron; LS02106 and LS03106 mean 150 micron; LS02120 and LS03120 mean 500 micron.

A digit 2 in the indicator position adds the dirty-screen indicator. Selected versions carry a microswitch.

Choosing the Micron Rating

Use 25 micron for oil up to 500 SSU. Use 150 micron for oil up to 2000 SSU. Use 500 micron for oil above 2000 SSU and for all grease service.

Select a coarser screen when a single-line lubrication system carries high-viscosity or grease media. Replaceable screens let you change micron rating during service.

LS Versus SLC Filters

Do not confuse this LS line strainer with the SLC pressure filter. The SLC series is a different lower-pressure in-line oil filter around 500 psi class.

Do not substitute SLC parts into an LS installation. The LS strainer belongs ahead of high-pressure injectors in a single-line lubrication system.

Service Cautions

The optional dirty-screen indicator triggers near 500 psi differential. The non-shock rating does not permit water-hammer spikes.

This strainer is not for corrosive fluids. Confirm fluid compatibility before ordering; contact the quotation team with media type and temperature.

Frequently Asked Questions

What fluids can the LS strainer handle?

It handles oil and grease circuits that are not corrosive. Confirm fluid compatibility with the supplier before you order.

What is the working pressure?

The working pressure is 5000 psi or 345 bar as a non-shock rating. This rating excludes water-hammer spikes and rapid pressure reversals.

Which screen micron ratings are available?

You can select 25, 150, or 500 micron stainless screens. These screens are user-selectable and replaceable.

What are the standard port sizes?

Standard ports are 1/4 in NPT and 3/8 in NPT. One 1/4 in BSPP version exists as model LS04103.

What is the flow reference?

Flow reference is 2 GPM for 1/4 in ports and 5 GPM for 3/8 in ports. This is at 225 SSU at 100 F and 20 ft/s.

How does the dirty-screen indicator work?

It triggers near 500 psi differential across the screen. That signal shows when the screen needs cleaning or replacement.

Can I substitute SLC filter parts in an LS installation?

No, do not substitute SLC filter parts into an LS installation. The SLC series is a lower-pressure filter around 500 psi class.

Which LS model suffixes indicate micron ratings?

LS02103 and LS03103 indicate 25 micron; LS02106 and LS03106 indicate 150 micron. LS02120 and LS03120 indicate 500 micron.

Does the LS strainer suit grease service?

Use 500 micron screens for all grease service. Grease can be filtered effectively with the correct screen selection.
