What This Gun Does
The digital oil gun meters oil as it dispenses. A flow sensor inside the body counts what passes through, a 5-digit LCD shows the running total in liters, and a preset stops the flow automatically when the amount you set has been delivered. It threads onto a standard dispense line with 1/2″ NPT connections and runs on four AA batteries — no wiring, no bench power.
Its job is the point of dispense: filling an engine, topping a gearbox, batching oil to a work order. Everything below is a stated specification from this product’s own data sheet.

How the Metering Works
Three functions do the work:
- Preset dispensing — enter the amount, pull the trigger, and the gun shuts itself off at the set total. That is the difference between metered and splash filling: the number on the display is the number that left the hose.
- Real-time calibration — dispense into a graduated container, compare, and correct the error coefficient in the gun’s calibration mode. Accuracy is kept by the user, not by hope.
- Totals — daily, weekly and lifetime counters record consumption, which is how a shop notices a machine that suddenly drinks oil.
What It Dispenses
The stated viscosity ceiling is SAE 240 — engine oils, gear oils, ATF, hydraulic oils and general industrial oils all sit under it. Thicker oils flow toward the slow end of the 1-20 L/min range; the metering stays accurate across the range. Water-based fluids and solvents are not part of the stated rating.
Nozzles and Connections
The gun takes a flexible nozzle for reaching fill points and a rigid nozzle for straight, precise work — both stated options. The 1/2″ NPT inlet threads onto standard hose ends, drum pumps and wall-mounted dispense systems; check the hose size before ordering, since everything on this gun is 1/2″ series.

How accurate is it, and how is that accuracy kept?
The stated measuring accuracy is ±0.5%. It is kept by the real-time error coefficient calibration: dispense into a graduated container, read the difference, correct it in calibration mode. A gun used daily should be checked the same way daily.
Will it handle thick gear oil?
Yes — the stated viscosity range runs to SAE 240. Thick oils dispense toward the low end of the 1-20 L/min flow range; the count stays accurate.
Can it meter water-based fluids or fuel?
No. The stated rating covers oils up to SAE 240 — water-based fluids and solvents are outside it.
What does it mount on?
Anything with a 1/2″ NPT dispense outlet: hose reels, drum pumps, bucket pumps, wall-mounted oil systems. There is no proprietary fitting.
What is the smallest amount it can measure?
The counting unit is the centiliter (10 mL), so small top-offs are within its resolution — the display reads in liters while the count resolves to 0.01 L.
