Will this push-in lubrication fitting work with my grease gun?
Yes. As long as your system operating pressure is below 80 bar, these fittings are fully compatible with both oil and grease applications. For higher pressure systems, contact us for 150-bar rated variants.
What if I cut the tube at an angle or leave burrs?
The fitting requires a clean, square cut to form a proper seal. Re-cut the tube at 90° and remove all burrs with a sharp blade or tube cutter. A damaged tube end is the most common cause of leakage.
How tight should the threaded connection be?
Hand-tighten first, then add 1 to 2 turns with a wrench. Do not over-tighten—excessive torque can crack the brass body or distort the NBR seal. Use PTFE tape or thread sealant on BSP threads for best results.
Can I use these fittings outdoors or in wet environments?
Yes. The nickel-plated surface provides excellent corrosion resistance. The operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C covers most outdoor and industrial environments.
How do I know which thread size to order?
Check the port thread on your existing equipment or consult the machine manual. The most commonly ordered sizes are M6×1 and 1/8″ BSP. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the existing fitting and we will identify it.
What should I do if the fitting starts leaking?
First, verify that the tube is fully inserted and was cut square. If the tube is damaged, cut a fresh section and reconnect. The brass fitting body itself rarely fails; leaks are almost always caused by tube preparation or under-insertion.
Is there a minimum bend radius for the tubing?
Yes. Avoid sharp kinks near the fitting. A gentle bend radius of at least 5× the tube outer diameter is recommended. Sharp bends can restrict flow and make future disconnection difficult.
Are these fittings reusable after years of service?
Absolutely. The internal stainless-steel gripper ring and NBR seal are designed for hundreds of connect/disconnect cycles. If the seal eventually wears, the fitting can often be rebuilt with a replacement seal kit rather than discarded.
