A Compression Sleeve Made for One Hose Size
This threaded sleeve is machined specifically for polyamide (nylon) hose with an 11 mm outer diameter and a 6 mm inner diameter. When the fitting is tightened, the sleeve compresses evenly around the hose wall and forms a mechanical seal that holds under pressure without blowing off. Because it is sized for one hose, there is no guesswork about fit: if your hose measures 11 mm OD and 6 mm ID, this is the matching sleeve.
The body is a corrosion-resistant metal, and each sleeve weighs 8 g, so it adds almost no mass to a hose assembly. Two thread standards are available, BSPT and Metric, to match the ports commonly found on lubrication and pneumatic equipment.

Where It Is Commonly Used
Within its rated pressure and temperature range, this sleeve is commonly installed on:
- Oil and lubricant lines in centralized lubrication systems
- Pneumatic tools, air compressor lines, and other shop air plumbing
- Hydraulic fluid transfer lines on machinery, within the stated working pressure
- Farm and outdoor equipment hose assemblies
- Coolant and heat transfer circuits using compatible fluids
- Vacuum lines that need a compression-style connection
For help matching sleeves, studs, and hose across different diameters, see the lubrication tubing and hose selection guide.
How to Install It
Cut the hose end square with a sharp cutter; a flattened or angled cut prevents the sleeve from seating evenly. Slide the sleeve onto the hose, push the hose fully onto the fitting stud, then thread the sleeve on finger-tight. Finish with a wrench, turning an additional 1 to 1.5 turns. Use a backup wrench to hold the fitting body so the hose does not twist.
Do not add sealant or tape. The seal is created by mechanical compression between the sleeve, the hose wall, and the stud; sealant can interfere with that compression. Equally, do not overtighten: beyond 1 to 1.5 turns past finger-tight you risk crushing the hose wall.
Compatibility Boundaries
This sleeve is guaranteed only for 11 mm OD / 6 mm ID polyamide hose. Other wall thicknesses, diameters, or hose materials are outside the stated fit and cannot be assumed to seal. If your tubing is a different size, choose the sleeve made for it, such as the 4 mm brass compression sleeve fittings for smaller lines.
If you are repairing several lines at once or stocking a service truck, a single sleeve may not be the economical unit. The heavy equipment lubrication parts kit groups commonly needed fittings for field repairs. For one leaking connection on an 11/6 mm hose, ask us for sleeve pricing and availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I confirm my hose is the right size, and should I buy one sleeve or a kit?
Measure the hose with calipers: about 11 mm across the outside and 6 mm across the inner bore means this sleeve fits. One or two sleeves make sense for a single repair; if you maintain a fleet or multiple machines, a parts kit with assorted fittings is usually the better buy.
What tools do I need for installation?
A standard wrench for the sleeve and a backup wrench to hold the fitting body. No special crimping or flaring tools are involved.
How tight should the connection be?
Finger-tight first, then 1 to 1.5 additional turns with a wrench. Overtightening can damage the hose or the fitting and does not improve the seal.
Should I apply sealant or thread tape?
No. The sleeve seals by mechanical compression against the hose. Adding sealant can prevent proper compression and is not recommended.
Will this sleeve work on air compressor lines?
Yes, provided the line uses 11 mm OD / 6 mm ID polyamide hose and the system pressure stays within the 638 psi (44 bar) working rating. This hose size is common in shop air setups.
How many sleeves does one hose need?
One sleeve for each end that connects to a fitting. A hose with connections at both ends needs two sleeves.
Can I use it on rubber, PU, or other hose materials?
No guarantee is made for anything other than 11/6 mm polyamide hose. Different materials compress differently, and wall thickness varies, so match the sleeve to the exact hose specification.
What do the pressure and temperature ratings mean in practice?
The sleeve is rated for working pressure up to 638 psi (44 bar) across -76°F to 212°F, with short-term exposure up to 266°F. Stay inside these limits and verify the rest of your hose assembly is rated to the same levels.
Can I reuse a sleeve after taking the joint apart?
Inspect the sleeve and hose end. If either shows deformation, replace it; a reused sleeve on a damaged hose end may not seal reliably.
