Rubber-Lined Tube Clamps | Pipe Clamps for Lubrication Lines, 11-273 mm

Rubber-lined tube clamps support lubrication lines from 11 mm to 273 mm tube OD. EPDM or nitrile lining, carbon or 316 stainless bodies, M6-M10 threads.

Rubber-Lined Tube Clamps for Lubrication Lines

Rubber-lined tube clamps hold lubrication lines and other fluid tubes in place on machines, frames, and bulkheads. A rubber lining sits between the clamp body and the tube, so the line is cushioned instead of gripped metal-to-metal. IsoHiTech Lubrication Systems supplies them for central lubrication installations, from 11 mm to 273 mm tube outside diameter.

What the Rubber Lining Does

The lining cushions the tube against the clamp body and interrupts the metal-to-metal path that carries vibration into the structure as noise. Because the tube rests on rubber, the clamp does not scratch or fret the tube surface, and tube and clamp body stay separated so dissimilar metals remain isolated. On stainless lines the lining stays in place and preserves that isolation.

How to Select and Install

Size the clamp by the actual outside diameter of the tube, never by nominal pipe size alone. An oversized bore lets the line rattle and slide; an undersized bore can ovalize thin-wall tube. Do not make a tight clamp fit by over-tightening – choose the correct size group.

The range runs from 11 mm to 273 mm tube OD in groups such as 15-19, 20-24, 25-30, and 168-172 mm. Mounting threads are M6, M8, or M10; some sizes offer dual M8/M10. Mount them horizontally or vertically, close to every fitting or directional change; space supports roughly 0.9 to 1.2 m apart on horizontal runs.

For tube and hose selection – material, diameter, and wall – see the lubrication tubing and hose selection guide and the grease line tubing and fittings selection guide. Where a run uses hose rather than rigid tube, matching hardware is on the high-pressure hose and fitting page, and a hose spring cover protects flexible sections from kinking and abrasion. They support the same lines described on our progressive lubrication systems page.

What This Page Does Not Claim

  • The lining is not a seal; it is a support element – keeping the medium inside the line is the job of the fittings.
  • Standard EPDM lining is not the right choice for constant contact with mineral-oil-based grease or oil. EPDM suits water, glycol coolants, and weather exposure; constant mineral-oil contact calls for the nitrile-lined version. Tell us the medium and we quote the right lining.
  • We publish no vibration-reduction percentages and no noise-level figures; the benefit is qualitative.
  • The load figure above is static only; no dynamic or fatigue figures are published.
  • There are no prices or lead times on this page; clamps are quoted per order. Request a quote via our contact page with tube OD, medium, temperature, body material, thread, and quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a rubber-lined tube clamp?

A support component that holds a lubrication or fluid line in place, with a rubber lining between the clamp body and the tube. The lining cushions the line, interrupts the metal-to-metal vibration and noise path, prevents scratching and fretting, and isolates dissimilar metals.

Does the rubber lining seal the pipe?

No. It is a support element, not a seal; keeping the medium inside the line is the job of the fittings.

EPDM or nitrile lining – how do I choose?

Choose by the medium in constant contact with the line: standard EPDM suits water, glycol coolants, and weather exposure; constant mineral-oil contact calls for the oil-resistant nitrile-lined version. State the medium when ordering and we quote the right lining.

How is clamp sizing determined?

By the actual tube outside diameter, never nominal pipe size alone. The range is 11 mm to 273 mm in groups such as 15-19, 20-24, 25-30, and 168-172 mm; pick the group your diameter falls into.

What happens if the clamp is the wrong size?

An oversized bore lets the line rattle and slide; an undersized bore can ovalize thin-wall tube. Do not force a fit by over-tightening – select the correct size group.

Which mounting threads are available, and in which orientations?

M6, M8, and M10, with some sizes in dual M8/M10. Clamps mount horizontally or vertically, one near each fitting or directional change.

How far apart should the clamps be spaced?

As a general practice, about 0.9 to 1.2 m on horizontal runs, with a clamp near every fitting or directional change. Final spacing depends on line size and routing.

Which body material and finish should I choose?

Mild steel zinc-plated, carbon steel, or 316 stainless steel, with electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, zinc flake, or epoxy coated finishes. Specify stainless for corrosive environments.

What should I specify when requesting a quote?

Tube outside diameter, medium, temperature, body material, mounting thread, and quantity. Send the details through our contact page and we quote the correct lining, size group, and finish.
