Two Column Lift Grease Dispenser | 46:1 Pneumatic Station

Complete two column lift grease dispenser station for standard 200L drums: 46:1 pneumatic pump, 350 bar output, follower plate, FRL and muffler.

Overview

The two column lift grease dispenser is a complete pneumatic station for standard 200L grease drums: two-column frame, 46:1 air-operated pump and follower plate as one set.

Only need a bare pump for a 55-gallon drum? See the bare pump built for 55-gallon drums. On 16-gallon / 120 lb drums? See the small-drum grease arrangement. Shopping for the 180 kg grease drum container itself? That page is the drum alone.

How the Station Works

Compressed air drives the 46:1 plunger pump, drawing grease through the follower plate to a grease gun or system inlet. Output tops out at 350 bar (5,075 PSI); continuous working pressure is 170 – 210 bar from 2 – 8 bar (30 – 116 PSI) shop air, no electrical power needed. Flow tops 6.4 L/min with NLGI 1 – 2 grease at rated air pressure.

Station or Bare Pump: Who Supplies What

A bare drum pump assumes you can already hold and seal the drum: you supply the frame, follower plate and installation work. With the station, they arrive together with clamp hardware and a manual, matched to one 200L drum.

Flow Rate by Grease Grade

Flow drops as grease consistency rises; at rated air pressure:

Grease gradeFlow at rated air pressure
NLGI 1 – 2Up to 6.4 L/min
NLGI 2 – 3approx 4.8 L/min
NLGI 3approx 2.0 L/min

Drum Fit and Load

The frame takes standard 200L drums in the 180 – 220 kg range, rated for a combined load up to 1,000 kg; the wide footprint resists tipping. It handles NLGI 1 – 3 grease.

Greases with Solid Additives

Heavy-duty greases often carry solid additives such as molybdenum disulfide or graphite. Fine, well-dispersed additives pass through the pump and its check valves; coarse particles lodge in the seats and cut outlet pressure.

What Is Supplied

  • Two-column frame with drum clamp
  • 46:1 air-operated plunger pump
  • Follower plate for 200L drums
  • Air FRL unit
  • Exhaust muffler
  • Quick-connect air fittings
  • Outlet pressure gauge
  • Installation hardware and manual

The drum and grease are not included.

Honest Limitations

  • Pneumatic, not electric: without shop air of 2 – 8 bar (30 – 116 PSI) it will not run.
  • It is built around the 200L drum form; 16-gallon / 120 lb drums fit the small-drum setup above.
  • Flow falls with stiffer grease, down to approx 2.0 L/min with NLGI 3; very cold grease may not feed the inlet.
  • Solid-additive greases must be confirmed when ordering, as must your air connection’s thread form and sealing arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this page for the full station or only the pump?

This page covers the complete station: frame, pump and follower plate as one set. If you need only a bare pump, small drums, or the drum container itself, use the overview links above.

What exactly arrives with the station?

Frame with clamp hardware, 46:1 pump, 200L-drum follower plate, FRL unit, muffler, quick-connect fittings, outlet gauge, installation hardware and manual. Drum and grease are yours to source.

Why a two-column frame instead of a single post?

Two columns keep the follower plate level and in wall contact as it descends; a single post lets it tilt, break the wall seal and admit air. The wider footprint also resists tipping.

What does the follower plate actually do?

It rides the grease surface down, stopping air collecting above it; without that seal the pump draws air and output drops. Press it down on a new drum until grease shows at the centre hole.

What air supply does the station need?

Any shop supply of 2 – 8 bar (30 – 116 PSI), no electrical power. Connect through the supplied FRL; confirm your air connection’s thread form and sealing arrangement when ordering.

Which grease grades can it handle?

NLGI 1 – 3. NLGI 2 is the common workshop grade; NLGI 3 moves at approx 2.0 L/min, per the table. Never mix incompatible thickener bases.

Can it pump grease with solid additives?

Fine, well-dispersed molybdenum disulfide or graphite greases are routine here. Coarse particles can lodge in the check valve seats and cut outlet pressure; confirm the specification when ordering.

How do I change drums?

Close the air, swap the drum, and press the follower plate down until grease shows at the centre hole. Run the pump into a waste container until grease flows free of air bubbles.

What happens if the pump runs dry?

The pump draws air, loses prime and stops delivering; dry running damages the internal check valves. Stop, seat the plate on a full drum and re-prime.

Who builds this station and how do I order?

It is built by IsoHiTech Lubrication Systems, founded in 2023, engineering since 2006, the team behind our lubrication equipment. For a quotation, send us your drum size and air supply details or write to inquiry@isohitech.com.
