DLX Manifold Oil Injectors for Single-Line Systems
The DLX series is a positive displacement manifold injector built for single-line parallel lubrication circuits. Each injector element meters a fixed volume of oil to one lubrication point on every cycle, regardless of distance from the pump. Because the elements sit together on one manifold block, a single feed line serves the whole group. The DLX series is used across printing, plastics, packing, and machine tool equipment.
How a Positive Displacement Injector Cycle Works
The cycle follows the line pressure. Injectors FILL while the main line is pressurized, and INJECT (discharge) when line pressure is relieved; the spring returns the piston and drives the lubricant out. Every element on the block completes one metered delivery per pressure cycle, and the volume does not change with line pressure inside the working range. The working pressure for the DLX series is 1.75-2.5 MPa. Each outlet meters independently, so one blocked point does not stop the others. Individual elements can be serviced between cycles with the line depressurized. For a wider view of how these blocks fit into a circuit, see the explanation of the working principle of the grease distributor block.
Outlets and Discharge Options
A manifold block carries 2, 3, 4 or 5 outlets. Seven discharge values are available: 0.03, 0.06, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 or 0.5 ml. The discharge codes A to G match those seven values in order, and code 0 is a blocked position, meaning a sealed plug that keeps the port closed for future expansion. Printing marks 03, 06, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 correspond to the seven discharges and are stamped on the elements for identification. When in doubt, start with small codes and adjust after observing the machine.
Ordering Codes Explained
Write the outlet codes left to right in the order they appear on the block. For example, DLX-3 with marks 10/20/30 describes a three-outlet manifold with 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 ml elements in order. A blocked position is written as 0, so a four-outlet block with the last port plugged reads 10/20/30/0. The T suffix, as in DLX-T-20/30/40/50, adds adaptors, compression sleeves and bushings at inlets and outlets. Always state the outlet count, the marks in order, and whether the T suffix is required. What Is Supplied
Each manifold block is assembled with the injector elements specified in the ordering code. Standard delivery includes the block body, the metering elements, and the inlet and outlet ports as configured. When the T suffix is selected, adaptors, compression sleeves and bushings are included at the inlets and outlets. Blocked positions are closed with sealed plugs. The block is a serviceable assembly: elements can be removed and replaced between cycles with the line depressurized, without disturbing the rest of the manifold.
Planning a Manifold Layout
Start by listing every lubrication point that will be served from one location and note its size, speed, and duty. Group points that are close together onto one block to reduce fittings and shorten tube runs. Assign the small codes to small high-speed bearings and the larger codes to larger sliding surfaces. Confirm that the pump can reach the working pressure of 1.75-2.5 MPa at the block, and keep the feed line as direct as possible. The DLX series works as part of a single-line lubrication system and within an injection lubrication system. On larger sites, the same planning approach applies to a heavy equipment lubrication system, and continuous machines pair well with automatic lubrication.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a DLX manifold injector do?
It meters a fixed volume of oil to each lubrication point on every pressure cycle of a single-line parallel circuit.
When does the injector discharge?
Injectors fill while the main line is pressurized and inject when line pressure is relieved, as the spring returns the piston.
How many outlets does a block have?
A manifold block carries 2, 3, 4 or 5 outlets, each fitted with its own metering element.
What discharge sizes are available?
Seven values are offered: 0.03, 0.06, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 or 0.5 ml per outlet per cycle.
What does code 0 mean?
Code 0 is a blocked position, a sealed plug that keeps the port closed for future expansion.
What does the T suffix add?
It supplies adaptors, compression sleeves and bushings at the inlets and outlets for simpler tube connection.
Can one blocked point stop the manifold?
No. Each outlet meters independently, so one blocked point does not stop the others.
Which industries use these?
They are common in printing, plastics, packing, and machine tools, wherever several points need metered oil.
Where do I get help choosing codes?
Send your point list through the quotation request page and we will suggest a code sequence.
